Personality: Snarky, sweet, and thoughtful, Magpiepaw is the quietest, most accepting member of Riverclan. Often seen working. Mags is not one to approach first when it comes to talking but rest assured, once she's comfortable enough to talk to you, he'll never stop. He can chatter on excitedly about everything under the sun, from obscure snail trivia to clan mythos. Despite this he’s secretly very tired, his sickness takes a toll on his physical and mental health, with Stonepaw's recent making it worse. He can be very snarky and cynical, though, certainly not without reason. Mags is bitter most of the time, with the sun in his heart and mind, nice, keeps you going, but horribly dangerous under certain circumstances.
History: (Warning for mentions of death and implied suicide)
Let’s get one thing straight, Magpiepaw is only clan-born due to a technicality, but he’s still not pure-blooded. His mom, Lichenfur was Riverclan, with his father being a former medicine cat who wandered around a lot. The medicine cat never told her of his status and not even his name. He basically used the poor girl, having a brief fling with her and sprinting back over to Thunderclan afterward. The last she saw him was when she was hunting, he was gathering herbs, it was a rather bitter reunion. Magpiekit and Lichenfur lived a peaceful life, most of the time. Owlclaw always seemed to get in the way of things, making snide comments, sneering at Featherkit, her own daughter for Starclan’s sake! Owlclaw would always harass his mother once he was born, always pestering them about who Magpiekit’s father was, but she just ignored her.
Mags caught greencough early in the winter, the cold air making his sickness worse and worse till he almost died. Lichenfur was constantly worried, one night she took him into a private den she’d made, and contemplated, just for a moment, killing her son so he wouldn’t suffer anymore. They were barely able to find a cure and the recovery process was long. He got sick a couple more times but none were as bad as his first moon. Mags eventually met this sweet Riverclan tom, Stonepaw. They became friends fast, they were two halves of a whole, but Magpiekit always sensed something off about Stonepaw, he’d sleep in a lot, he always seemed anxious, never ate much, he could barely concentrate. Nobody ever commented on it though. And then Stonepaw was found dead in the lake, there was no sign of injury or anything, he simply drowned. Magpiekit-soon to be Paw- knew what happened though.
