you told me once i had a rebel heart
i don't know if that's true
Flashstar had elected to ignore Moth's questions, unwilling to acknowledge the way his throat seemed to constantly tickle to himself, let alone an outsider; he was happy to see that they had let it go at his suggestion of catching the rabbit. The WindClan leader then crouched low, placed his tail behind him and flattened his ears, doing his best to remain as invisible as possible and blend into the white snow. He twitched his whiskers in amusement; Moth stuck out in the Leaf-bare moors. They would have to be quick to catch the rabbit.
As Moth sprinted after the rabbit, Flashstar's ears perked up and his breath hitched for a moment, feeling hopeful for the young cat's hunt. He shuddered out a sigh of relief that they had managed to take the prey down, despite the golden pelt that clung to his thin frame. The leader frowned for a moment as he noticed their emaciated stature; they were in need of some sort of care. Perhaps he could get Sunnystep to look them over when he returned...
Flashstar had lifted himself from his crouched position and proudly approached the rouge despite his previous thoughts. "You caught that rabbit like a true WindClanner," he laughed, his copper eyes gazing gently down on Moth, feeling a soft wave of affection for them. The rogue was nothing more than a kit, on the cusp of an apprenticeship had they lived in a clan; for some reason, Flashstar didn't want to turn them away when the time came. "You show a lot of promise..." he began, "I know that you have no family or home to go to after your time here. I cannot make decisions for you, Moth..." he stated clearly, lifting his chin proudly, "but I can give you a home; WindClan can give you a home if you so wish. You can stay with us, grow up a WindClanner, and become a warrior. We can offer a fulfilling life with a family that will care for you and defend you with their life, so long as you promise the same."
