❂ Summary description:: A calico bobtail she-cat with blue eyes ❂ Detailed Description:: Poppyshine's soft, short pelt is mostly an off-white hue, making it difficult for her to blend into her territory unless it snows. There are patches of ginger tabby and black on her head and short tail. She has a pale pink nose and matching pale pink paw pads, and large, beautiful eyes that are a lovely blue like a clear sky in greenleaf.
She's taller than the average ThunderClan she-cat but not particularly well-muscled; her frame is rather willowy with long legs and a slender torso.
❂ Breed:: Japanese bobtail

❂ Personality:: Poppyshine is an optimistic and energetic cat, nearly always in the mood to play or gently tease others. She's pretty laidback and doesn’t get insulted easily, but despite being patient when dealing with other cats, she's quite easily distracted when it comes to patrols and hunting; she'd much rather be leaping after butterflies or flirting with her mate, Stoneheart.She is the embodiment of “the good parent” that everyone wishes they had: someone who sees them as they are, understands them with immense compassion, helps and encourages with infinite patience, and is always willing to lend a hand.
If there’s conflict between clanmates she will try to prompt those involved to see both sides of the story and reconcile with each other. Failing that, she may either advise them to stay out of each other’s way but stay civil, or force them to sit down and apologise. While some may be relieved to have her interfere, others will decidedly not, finding her controlling and overbearing.
Poppyshine’s interfering nature extends to her wanting to play matchmaker. It gives her a warm, fuzzy feeling to see happy couples together, especially if she made that couple happen. If she thinks two cats would be cute as mates she likes to casually suggest to the clan's authority figures to send the two out on a patrol together or something. When she’s alone with one of the two she’ll also make innocent suggestive remarks about the cat she has in mind for them, and will subtly try to push them together.

❂ History:: It came as a bit of a surprise to everyone when Redwillow announced she was pregnant (she'd never expressed an interest in kits and had been assumed to be asexual for most of her life), but it was definitely a welcome surprise... until Brackenbranch and Redwillow drove most of ThunderClan insane with their constant chatter about possible names. When the time finally came, they disregarded all their previous ideas and decided to call their single kit Poppykit, as Redwillow hoped their daughter would grow to be as tall and lovely as her favourite flower.Poppykit was a very energetic child and it came as quite a relief to the queens when she left the nursery to become an apprentice. Her mentor, Heavyrock, was a serious tom. Poppypaw had been given to him in the hopes that he would make her more grounded. Needless to say, it didn't work.
She spent a lot of her apprenticehood messing around and rolling her eyes at Stonepaw and Stormpaw as they mooned over Icepaw, though secretly she was a bit jealous of all the attention the other she-cat was receiving. Poppypaw was overjoyed when Redwillow announced that she was expecting another litter, and when Poppypaw's little siblings were born (a tom called Palekit and a she-cat called Mosskit) she decided to be as involved in their lives as possible, becoming almost like a second mother to the young cats.
Unfortunately, sometime after her siblings' birth, Brackenbranch passed away due to an infected wound that he'd acquired from a fighting a fox.
Poppypaw put on a brave face for her remaining family and acquired her warrior name, Poppyshine, for her unfaltering optimism.
Moons came and went. Palepaw and Mosspaw became apprentices and the clan was thriving. Poppyshine began catching herself staring at Stoneheart and making excuses to spend more time in his company, playfully teasing him moreso than other cats.
But then there was an accident.
In the midst of a storm a tree fell and crushed Mosspaw - not instantly killing her, but causing enough internal damage to ensure death. As Mosspaw took her last breaths, ThunderClan's leader changed her name to Mossfur so that she would ascend to StarClan as a full warrior. Poppyshine was devastated. Mossfur had been like her own child and she had never expected her little sister would die before her. In the grieving period that followed, Poppyshine spent a lot of her time with Stoneheart - not wishing to be near her closer friends (who were overly-happy cats like her) while her heart was so broken. It was during this time that she discovered a side of Stoneheart she'd never seen before; he was a great listener and surprisingly perceptive. He helped her through her darkest moments, urging her to think of the family she still had: Redwillow and Palepaw (now Palenose).
Poppyshine eventually reverted to her happy-go-lucky self and even became mates with Stoneheart. She loves her tom with every fibre of her being, and though she was saddened to learn that she could never have kits of her own, she remains hopeful that she might be able to convince her mate to adopt one day.
❂ Trivia::
• Poppyshine is unable to have kits.
• She's not the greatest hunter due to her easy-to-spot fur, but she's a pretty good fighter.
