A rift into the abyss; [Private Gale/Citrus]

    Galewhisker's fluffy ears perked up as he heard Citruspaw's teasing tone. He let out another groan, but sarcastic this time around. "You are too excited to play in that cold junk," he laughed, watching her shake the snow from her pelt. "And y'know... It really hasn't gotten any warmer from this morning. I'll stop complaining when Newleaf comes in."

    Citruspaw seemed to be anticipating something; her antics were clearly boredom-driven and he felt a twinge of guilt. He wasn't wanting very exciting today, for sure. In fact, he simply wanted to go back to camp and curl up in his warm nest for the rest of the cold season.

    His comment about the lake, however, seemed to catch the young she-cat's attention. He wasn't inherently surprised that she seemed overjoyed at the mere thought of playing on the lake, further than even RiverClan could without the ice. He stood agape at her, however. "You mean to tell me the apprentices have never even thought of playing mossball on the lake this Leafbare?! My sister and I would play out there whenever we could with our older siblings; it is the best!"

    Galewhisker's nose twitched as he thought of how enjoyable it would actually be to skid around on the ice after a mossball and careen into the snow drifts that laid atop. "I'll tell you what; if we manage to find a moss ball, we'll stay out on the lake for as long as you want," he laughed, "Let's check near where the river meets the lake!" Before even giving the young Citruspaw a moment to think, the black tom had dashed off towards the lake.
