To submit your homepage, just leave the field blank and click. Yours should appear at the bottom and your fetch status should return successfully shortly. Once completed, simply click Submit to Index . There is a limit to the number of pages you can fetch, but generally I only use it to launch a site or refresh pages that are out of date or not recached. Within a few minutes my search came up ( ) and seven pages were indexed (which is about right): I promised this series would be transparent.
So I have to admit I messed up a bit here. Apparently C Level Contact List Google had managed to crawl the site before I officially published it, and had actually cached it a few days before (checked with). To me, this isn't a big deal, but it's worth warning that if you don't want your site to appear in the world prematurely, you may have to take steps to prevent it from being crawled by Google. Google has a way of finding new websites, which may be good or bad depending on your plans. Later on the day of launch, I also ranked my tagline (The Misadventures of Minimalism) on page.
I highly recommend tracking some non-competitive long-tail phrases (if you are a client, please set them in). They may not look sexy, but you'll see progress faster than with competing phrases. It's important to know that your website is at least ranking capable so that any issues can be caught early. Link the chicken and search for the egg Which comes first?
