Amber eyes watched flakes of snow fluttering down from the sky above. A fresh blanket of snow covered the entire camp overnight, not a paw-step had yet marred the surface. The black she-cat stayed in the shadows of the warrior's den in silence, lost in thought as she watched more flakes swirl about in breeze. She was hardly surprised that few cats were awake, something about the cold weather made many a cat more inclined to stay in their warm nests.
Ravenwing sighed softly, a shiver running up her spine from the cold, her short fur certainly was not made for this weather. Nonetheless, she had things she needed to attend to, and with that in mind she rose padding out into the snow. The black she-cat made her way over to the small fresh kill pile and started to dig at the snow that had covered it. Frustrated she continued to paw at the snow until the small pile was uncovered. She wished that she had told some cat to help her cover the pile or move it. From what she could tell the food was mostly frozen from the snow. There had been no indication of it snowing last night, and while she couldn't predict the weather she still wished she known about it somehow. Large ears flattened as Ravenwing began an attempt to sort the food, seeing if anything was salvageable at the moment for the clan to eat this morning. Hopefully, the frozen food could be placed some where warm and it would thaw, as nothing seemed to be entirely frozen solid but the worst cases were likely inedible at the moment.The last thing the clan needed right now was less food.
